MPA-ESP Environmental Careers Guest Speaker Series:
When Green Marketing becomes Greenwashing: Can Businesses be "Good for the Environment?"

1:00-2:00PM, IAB room 411

Cheryl Heller, CEO of Heller Communication Design, will discuss her experience with green marketing, including how to effectively communicate and develop CSR practices and avoid greenwashing in the private and non-profit sectors. Cheryl Heller has had a successful career in design, advertising and branding, and draws on this unique, integrated perspective to help clients embed corporate social responsibility (CSR) into their cultures, and engage their internal and customer stakeholders in it. Her deep, diverse experience working with corporations has included the launch of three new divisions for Reebok, and major repositioning efforts for Kodak Professional, Bayer Corporation, The Girl Scouts of America, Cemex, Ford Motor Company, Seagrams, Engelhard Corporation and Sappi. She is currently helping to launch a new NGO with Dr. Paul Polack, called D-Rev: Design for the other 90%, and will serve as its Chief Creative Officer.

This event is both a recruiting event and a corporate showcase aiming to draw attention to the activities and achievements of high-performance, environmentally responsible companies. This event also connects students and young professionals with esteemed architecture, engineering, construction, and real estate firms.

ESP Holiday Lights Bus Tour!
Bus picks up at school at 5 p.m.

The double -decker bus will drive us around NYC to see the tree at Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, Chinatown, the windows at Macy's etc. The tour will be approximately 2 hours and we will end up at Bryant Park where we can ice skate!
The cost will be $5 for us and $7- 10 for guests (we will figure this out when we know the headcount).
Ice skating is free- you will just need to pay for your skate rental.
